Phlebotomy Technician Certificate Program

The Phlebotomistis an integral member of the medical laboratory team whose primary function is the collection of blood samples from patients by venipuncture or micro-techniques. The phlebotomist facilitates the collection and transportation of laboratory specimens and is often the patients only contact with the medical laboratory. At the completion of this course, the student will know the skills to enable him or her to functions as a certified phlebotomist nationwide in any healthcare organization. The student will be able to obtain his or her National Credentialing Certificate from the AMT (American Medical Technologist for their RPT). Mount Eagle College is accredited and approved as program to offer the program and students are allowed to seat for National Creditialing Certificate.

Training consists of of the following: proper venous sites, various vials, colors, and types of veins and techniques for hematocrit (blood draw) withdrawal.


NHA-CPT Test:monthly (must log in to nha website to get test dates)
